Anna Adamopoulou

TRAINER

I am Anna Adamopoulou, certified yoga teacher with over 1000 hours of training, ballet, modern dance and pilates teacher.

I was born in Athens and grew up in Karditsa. My love for dance led me to leave my studies in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at AUTH and study at the Andromachi Kafantari Higher Professional School of Dance in Thessaloniki. At the same time I became a certified yoga, advanced pilates and aerial yoga teacher. I have received training from EKPA e-learning in Health, Wellness, Exercise and Longevity Coaching so that I can approach the adoption of a healthy lifestyle holistically and have the ability to advise and support my students on this path. My first contact with yoga was when I was studying dance and trying to find a way to manage the exhaustion I felt in my body and soul. I was mesmerized by the influence he had on me and so began this wonderful journey of training.

I attended the 200 hours training in Indonesia. But my need to go deeper into yoga but also to discover deeper parts of myself brought me to attend the Higher Education 500 hours at Anahata Yoga Academy. In Elena Mouratidou's unique way full of power, inspiration, knowledge, experience and love and under her guidance through individual sessions, I reconnected with myself and life itself. I attended many dance seminars, yoga workshops and acroyoga immersions with teachers from Greece and abroad. I have participated as a dancer in various shows and events.

I maintain a studio in Karditsa where through yoga, dance, pilates and coaching I guide my students to gain well-being in their daily lives and I am the artistic director of an amateur dance school in Kastoria.

My need to work more with the psyche of people led me to decide to study Psychology (BSc) at Oxford Brookes University. I believe that by working comprehensively, with body and soul, you can completely achieve the changes you want. At the same time, every year I attend the most transformative training for me, 100 hours of Transform Your Life Training in Pelion, diving into the path of self-awareness. I am also a mentor in the Academy's 200 hour basic training continuing to develop my teaching skills.

My dream is through Psychology, yoga, dance and pilates to help people change their lives inside and out so that they can enjoy their lives in the now and come closer to their true selves.

Being a curious and enthusiastic person I love music and everything related to the arts, sports, traveling, hanging out with friends and learning something new. My main sources of inspiration are the family I have created, contact with nature and personal sharing with friends.

The class concludes with Yoga Nidra, a meditative form of deep relaxation in the supine position that contributes to physical recovery and stress relief. Ideal for all levels, this class cultivates a sense of calm, balance and rejuvenation.
