I am Anastasios Vamvakis Clinical – Sports Dietitian – Nutritionist, RD, PgD, MSc, PhD
Graduate of the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics ATEI Thessaloniki with initial postgraduate studies in sports nutrition and metabolism at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland (Biomedical Sciences), with subsequent postgraduate studies at the AUTH School of Medicine in Clinical Medical Research and a PhD candidate at the AUTH School of Medicine in arterial hypertension, diet and exercise. Certified ISAK Anthropometrist (level I). I am active as a clinical dietitian at the Pediatric and Pathological Clinic of AUTH and the Genesis Clinic. I specialize in obese patients, pregnant women, athletes, etc.
I am active as a sports dietitian - nutritionist in sports academies and clubs (PAE ARIS). I am the director - deputy director at the CHAN camps, Agios Ioannis Peliou, as well as the catering manager of the CHAN camps in Thessaloniki. I participate in the medical staff at a camp for children with type I diabetes. I write articles for the Makedonia newspaper on nutrition & dietetics issues. I am a food & dietetics contributor to the morning news show and news segment (ΕΤ3). I have in my history various scientific publications in international and Greek scientific journals on the subjects of Arterial Hypertension, Nutrition & Exercise, papers, speeches.
I constantly attend international & pan-Hellenic conferences & seminars on medicine, nutrition, dietetics, food, sports in order to update the new data & proposals.
I present data and speeches at conferences on diabetes, obesity, nutrition, hypertension, sports, etc.
In addition, I have made many presentations at seminars as well as TV shows on nutrition issues, to different population groups (health education programs in schools, sports clubs, elderly, sick, pregnant women, etc.).
This training is designed to better understand the needs but also the incredible possibilities of women during pregnancy, childbirth and labor.
