I am Athena Iatraki, certified yoga teacher with over 1100 hours of training and Advanced Asana Master Trainer.

I was born in 1998 in Thessaloniki and grew up in a village near Edessa, in Prophet Ilias. I studied Civil Engineering in Athens, but my love for the arts led me to pursue and study dance. It was a dream come true since I had an inclination in this field from a young age. 

My love for the field of dance and my need for something deeper than physical exercise led me to Anahata Yoga Academy for the first time in 2019. There I studied alongside my beloved teacher and mentor Elena Mouradidou and successfully completed the program basic yoga training 200hr Yoga Teacher Training. I then decided to delve further into yoga with Anahata Yoga Academy's Advanced Yoga 500hr Teacher Training. Realizing my love for training I decided to attend the 200h Yoga Mentorship Training in order to develop my teaching skills and gain more confidence and assurance in this area. I have also attended other seminars and experiential trainings with Elena such as the 100hr Transformational Life Training, Holistic Breakthrough, Manifest Your Superpower, which offered me tools that improved the quality of my life and helped me make all my dreams come true, to take the wheel of my life and decide for myself the way I want to live.

What never seizes to amaze me is that with the correct guidance and direction the body can achieve even the most demanding positions. As I love challenges, I love even more outgrowing myself and constantly becoming a better version me. I have discovered that through the combination of one of the nicest forms of expression, dance, and the practice of Yoga as a way of life, one can achieve any goal they set, and go beyond one's self as many times as they please.

Gentle Yoga Flow & Yoga Nidra

A combination of conscious movement in flow, breathing and deep relaxation, through yoga postures that cultivate flexibility and soften tension. The class concludes with Yoga Nidra, a meditative form of deep relaxation in the supine position that contributes to physical recovery and stress relief. Ideal for all levels, this class cultivates a sense of calm, balance and rejuvenation.
