More and more women during pregnancy attend Prenatal yoga classes to keep their bodies strong, as well as prepare mentally and physically for the miracle of birth. Prenatal yogais as important as Postnatal Yoga (yoga after giving birth).
Postnatal yoga is as important.
But why would a woman attend postnatal yoga classes? What are the benefits of doing yoga postpartum?
Six therapeutic benefits of postnatal yoga are the following:
• Promotes general health, as it improves breathing, blood flow and detoxifies the body
• Balances the nervous system
• Helps reduce anxiety and postpartum depression
• Restores the tissues of the pelvic floor, as it strengthens the abdomen area
• Aligns the body and keeps it strong, flexible and functional
• Restores hormonal balance.
